Roadside litter cleanup � RFF Adopt-A-Hwy project � was accomplished along Takelma Drive from Hwy 62 to the end of the pavement. It turned out to be a two-phase event. The original Jan 26th event was cancelled due to the weather (too much snow covering trash) but four people who didn�t get the cancellation notification showed up and it was decided to do a one-hour cleanup with Jack & Jan Rowe taking first prize with 25 lb of trash. For the Feb 9th event, nine volunteers took part in the cleanup work. Our sincere thanks and appreciation are extended to everyone who participated in this unpleasant but worthwhile event. |

Corps of Engineers had a cleanup project in the Elk Creek area off Old Elk Creek Rd. RFF members placed signs that designated the area as a Wildlife Management area. The signs were needed to discourage motorized vehicle traffic. |

RFF members supported the Rogue Valley Disposal�s employee health-recreation fair by demonstrating fly casting to the company�s employees and by providing information on RFF. |

10-08-05 | Flyfishing for steelhead was taught by volunteer instructors from RFF during the ODFW sponsored Becoming and Outdoors Woman (BOW) program which was held at Valley of the Rogue State Park. Instructions covered all of the basic aspects needed for beginners to get started in this facet of the sport. There were approximately 30 women participating in the BOW program. It was reported that at least two participants hooked fish, but didn�t land them. |
