Royal Coachman Bucktail
Hook: Size 8 - 4 TMC 5263
Thread: Black 6/0
Tail: Golden pheasant tippet
Body: Peacock herl, red floss, and peacock herl
Hackle: Brown saddle
Wing: White bucktail or white calf tail

Tying Instructions:
1. Tie on in front and wrap thread base to just before the hook point.
2. Tie in a small bunch of pheasant tippets
3. Tie in 3 or 4 pieces of peacock herl and make 5 to 6 wraps to complete a short butt
4. Tie in red floss and wrap up to 3/4 of the hook shank, tie off
5. Tie in 3 or 4 pieces of peacock herl and make 5 to 6 wraps, tie off
6. Tie in brown hackle, make 4 to 5 wraps and tie off
7. Tie in a bunch of calf tail the same length as the hook shank
8. Form a small head, whip finish and cement.
